New Delhi. Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan confirmed that he suffered a slight knee injury while shooting the eighteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The incident occurred when he slipped during a routine take.
Changed Opening Routine
In the following episode, the host broke from his customary practice of standing at centre stage to deliver the introductory monologue. Instead, he chose to sit and address the audience, attributing the adjustment to the fresh injury.
Big B Calms the Crew
Pointing to his left knee, Bachchan reassured everyone that the problem was not serious. He mentioned that while he would still rise to greet contestants, he preferred to remain seated for the opening segment because standing caused discomfort. The studio audience responded with warm wishes for a speedy recovery.
KBC 18 Moves Forward
Despite the setback, the iconic host continued to fulfill his duties, interacting with participants and keeping the show’s momentum intact. Viewers noted the departure from his signature standing introduction, a hallmark of the programme.
Film Commitments Ahead
Beyond the quiz show, Bachchan remains active on the big screen. He is set to appear in Section 84, a courtroom thriller directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, alongside Diana Penty, Nimrat Kaur, and Abhishek Banerjee. He is also expected to reprise his role as Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD – Part 2, sharing the frame with Prabhas and Kamal Haasan.
