Hyderabad. A murder case has been lodged after the lifeless body of a 34‑year‑old female bank employee was recovered from a room at the Gokul Pride Hotel in SR Nagar, Hyderabad. The victim has been identified as B. Sirisha, a resident of Nagasamudram, Vikarabad district, who worked as a customer‑care executive at a local bank.
How the night unfolded
According to police statements, Sirisha checked into the hotel on 24 September accompanied by a man who later identified himself as A. Srinivas. Both individuals allegedly used false names and fabricated identification documents during the reservation process.
In the hotel’s register, Srinivas entered the alias “Ganesh,” while Sirisha’s name was recorded as “Durga.” They were assigned room 10.
Suspicion arises
Hotel staff noted that Srinivas departed the premises around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, informing them that Sirisha would return after breakfast. When the expected check‑out never occurred and Sirisha failed to answer her phone, the staff grew uneasy and alerted the authorities.
Discovery of the body
Police arrived, used a master key to enter the suite, and found Sirisha lying motionless on the bed. Preliminary observations revealed bruises and possible lacerations, suggesting she may have been struck with a heavy or sharp object. A curtain rod recovered from the room is being examined as a potential weapon. The definitive cause of death will be confirmed after the post‑mortem report.
Investigation steps
Jubilee Hills DCP A. Ramana Reddy confirmed that a murder FIR has been filed under Section 103(1) of the BNS. Fingerprints and other forensic material have been collected, and investigators are scrutinising the hotel’s CCTV footage to map Srinivas’s movements and piece together the timeline.
Special task forces have been assembled to locate Srinivas, who remains at large. Authorities are also probing the discrepancy between the alias “Durga” used in the hotel log and Sirisha’s actual name as recorded in official documents.
Possible links to prior incidents
Investigators are gathering information about a previously reported assault involving Sirisha’s husband to determine whether any connection exists with the present case. The police continue to chase leads, analyse forensic evidence, and pursue the suspect.
