Jaipur — The Rajasthan State Election Commission has revised the itinerary for the forthcoming Panchayat elections, moving only the dates on which election teams travel to their constituencies. This adjustment, made to respect the Dhanteras festival and voter convenience, leaves the actual polling dates untouched.

Phase One

Election crews assigned to Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti contests will now set out on 21 October, with voting slated for 22 October.

Nomination drives for Panch and Sarpanch seats are scheduled for 23 October, followed by polling on 24 October. The Up‑Sarpanch election will be held on 25 October.

Phase Two

For the second tranche, teams will depart on 27 October** and conduct Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections on 28 October.

Nomination for Panch and Sarpanch posts is set for 29 October, with polling on 30 October. The Up‑Sarpanch contest follows on 31 October.

Phase Three

The third‑phase departure has been moved forward to 2 November, and voting for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members will occur on 3 November.

Nomination for Panch and Sarpanch positions is planned for 4 November, polling on 5 November, and the Up‑Sarpanch election on 6 November.

Polling Dates Remain Unchanged

The commission stressed that the ballot dates themselves have not been altered; only the movement schedule of election teams has been shifted.

This change ensures that no election activity takes place on Dhanteras, a major Hindu festival, thereby avoiding inconvenience for voters and officials alike.

With the revised timetable, the election process will continue on the previously announced voting dates while accommodating the festive calendar.
