Grim Discovery in Neemka Village

In the pre‑dawn hours of Monday, Yogendra – known locally as Lucky – walked to his father Bhole Shankar’s plot with a steaming cup of tea. Instead of finding his father tending the land, he stumbled upon the farmer’s motionless body sprawled on the earth. Horrified, Yogendra immediately called the police.

Responding officers cordoned off the area, handed the scene over to forensic specialists, and logged the case as a homicide. Their early focus zeroed in on the bitter land‑ownership dispute that has long simmered between the two brothers.

Surveillance Footage Highlights a Suspect

A trio of investigative squads was mobilised to unravel the murder. Reviewing footage from cameras positioned around the farmland, they captured a figure approaching the field moments before the fatal blow. The individual’s build and gait bore a striking similarity to Devendra, the victim’s younger brother.

Police summoned Devendra for interrogation, cross‑checking his statements with the video and other forensic evidence. The convergence of these indicators convinced authorities that he was likely involved, leading to his detention late that night.

The Alleged Murder Weapon

Investigators also recovered a spade from the site, which they believe was used to strike the farmer. The tool now serves as a pivotal piece of evidence as the case moves through the judicial process.

Law enforcement continues to reconstruct the chain of events that culminated in the farmer’s death. Devendra will be presented before the appropriate court, and the probe remains open to uncover any further motives or accomplices.

"We are following every lead, from video surveillance to forensic traces, to ensure that justice is served for the victim and his family," said the senior investigating officer.
