Grand Welcome at Birsa Munda Airport
When the freshly named BJP state in‑charge for Jharkhand and his accompanying co‑incharges landed at Birsa Munda Airport on Monday, they were met with a lively spectacle of drums, chants and regional performances. Party cadres lined the runway, offering garlands and flower petals while traditional rhythms reverberated across the terminal.
Who Leads the New Squad
The delegation was headed by Gajendra Singh Patel, the party’s national general secretary who has just been assigned the Jharkhand portfolio. He arrived with co‑incharges Saurabh Singh, chairman of the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation, and Nivedita Singh, a member of the Bihar Legislative Council. Their combined experience is expected to rejuvenate the BJP’s organisational framework throughout the state.
Senior Figures Join the Festivities
Numerous senior BJP leaders from Jharkhand gathered to celebrate the arrival. In attendance were State President Aditya Sahu, Union Minister Sanjay Seth, former Chief Minister Arjun Munda, and state vice‑presidents Rakesh Prasad and Balmukund Sahay. The roster also included Assembly chief whip Navin Jaiswal, state general secretaries Ganesh Mishra and Amar Kumar Bauri, minister Shalini Baisikhiyar, media in‑charge Yogendra Pratap Singh, among many other functionaries who participated in the ceremony.
Strategic Direction Ahead
With the new leadership now at the helm, the BJP has signalled a renewed emphasis on grassroots outreach and tighter coordination among its cadres.
