New Delhi: Vidda, the premium home‑theatre line from Hisense, has introduced its flagship Big Eye M2 Pro projector to the Chinese market. Tailored for cinephiles and gamers alike, the device combines a triple‑colour laser source, an integrated 360° motorised gimbal, and a suite of high‑end specifications that aim to recreate a cinema experience without the hassle of a fixed mount.
Pricing and Market Roll‑out
In China, the Big Eye M2 Pro is priced at 5,499 yuan, with a limited‑time promotional discount that lowers the effective cost to 4,949 yuan. The “Moonlight White” finish is available for immediate purchase, while the “Space Silver” variant can currently be reserved. No official pricing or launch timetable has been announced for India.
4K Imaging and Brightness
At the heart of the projector sits a 0.47‑inch DMD chip paired with Vidda’s proprietary QuaLas42 triple‑laser engine. Together they produce up to 1,800 CVIA lumens, bright enough to fill a well‑lit living room. The unit supports HDR10+ and HLG, and its glass‑lens optics deliver a 1.3× optical zoom with a throw ratio ranging from 1.0:1 to 1.3:1.
For a 100‑inch image, the projector should be placed roughly 2.2 m from the screen; a 150‑inch picture can be achieved from about 3.3 m, depending on the room’s dimensions.
Optimised for Gaming
The M2 Pro is built with gamers in mind. It can display native 4K content at up to 60 Hz, while switching to 1080p unlocks a fast 240 Hz refresh rate. An HDMI 2.1 input, MediaTek MT9679 processor, and 3 GB of RAM enable Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low‑Latency Mode (ALLM), delivering buttery‑smooth gameplay on compatible consoles and PCs.
360° Gimbal Eliminates Complex Mounting
Unlike traditional projectors that rely on ceiling brackets or external stands, the Big Eye M2 Pro features a motorised gimbal capable of rotating a full 360°. Users can tilt the unit toward the ceiling, floor, or any angle, simplifying placement on tables, shelves, or wall‑mounted platforms.
Additional automated tools—autofocus, keystone correction, and screen‑alignment assistance—further reduce setup time, allowing the projector to self‑optimise the picture with minimal user input.
Integrated Four‑Speaker Audio
Sound is delivered via a built‑in 20 W four‑speaker array, comprising two full‑range drivers and two tweeters. The audio system supports Dolby Audio and DTS:X, creating an immersive soundscape that complements the large‑format visual experience.
India Launch Still Pending
At present, the Big Eye M2 Pro is exclusive to China. Vidda has not disclosed a definitive launch schedule or pricing for the Indian market. Should the company decide to introduce the projector in India, it will likely issue a separate announcement outlining local pricing, availability, and configuration options.
