Incident Overview
Delhi police have detained three men in connection with an alleged assault on a woman from Nagaland and her associates. The alleged episode took place in the early pre‑dawn hours of Sunday, roughly around 3:30 a.m., in the parking lot of a five‑star hotel located in the diplomatic enclave of Chanakyapuri.
According to the filing, the victim arrived at the hotel accompanied by a doctor colleague from RML Hospital and two other friends. After using the restroom, the group was approached near the car park by three men driving a white Mercedes.
Friends Intervene
The three men reportedly attempted to pull the woman toward their vehicle. When her friends tried to stop them, a physical confrontation broke out. The friends – identified as Ayush, Udbhav and Samarth – sustained injuries; Ayush suffered a dental injury, while Udbhav and Samarth were also beaten.
The woman was immediately rushed to RML Hospital for a medical check‑up. She managed to note the registration number of the white Mercedes, a detail that later proved vital for the investigation.
Suspects Identified
The police have named the accused as Divyanshu, Gaurav and Mohit. An FIR was filed at the Chanakyapuri police station based on the victim’s statement and the accompanying medical report.
Investigation Ongoing
Detectives are currently reviewing statements from all parties and reconstructing the sequence of events at the hotel’s parking area. The three suspects remain in police custody while the probe continues.
Authorities have stressed that the case is still under active investigation and further information will be released as the inquiry progresses.
