Lucknow/Meerut. As the BJP gears up for “Mission 2027”, the party is accelerating its on‑ground work across Uttar Pradesh. After a statewide mobilisation drive led by State President Pankaj Chaudhary, national figure Nitin Navin has been scheduled to tour Western UP, stopping in Meerut and Saharanpur on September 21 and 22.
Broad‑based engagement beyond senior leaders
Navin’s two‑day itinerary will not be confined to meetings with senior office‑bearers. He plans to sit down with the convenors of the party’s “Shakti Kendra” network and with grassroots activists to capture a realistic picture of organisational health, local challenges, and overall preparedness for the upcoming electoral push.
Day 1 – Meerut: Youth dialogue and Shakti Kendra conference
On September 21, Navin will address a “Yuva Samvad” (youth dialogue) and attend a conference for Shakti Kendra convenors. He will also hold coordination meetings with MPs and MLAs representing Western UP. Approximately 5,000 Shakti Kendra convenors are expected to interact with him, allowing the leader to gauge booth‑level structures, the activity of party workers, and region‑specific dynamics.
Why the visit matters now
The trip coincides with a major organisational reshuffle within the state BJP. New in‑charges have been appointed for every district, and Navin’s assessment is seen as crucial to validate the functionality of this fresh hierarchy and to fine‑tune preparations for forthcoming programmes.
Day 2 – Saharanpur: Temple visit and senior‑level talks
On September 22, Navin will reach Saharanpur, beginning with a visit to the Maa Shakumbhari Devi temple. He will then engage in a series of meetings with party leaders, workers, former MPs, ex‑MLAs and past office‑bearers, aiming to consolidate the party’s grassroots network across booths, Shakti Kendra cells, mandals (blocks) and districts.
Through these interactions, the BJP seeks to cement a robust organisational foundation in Western UP, ensuring that every level—from the booth to the district—remains election‑ready for Mission 2027.
