Delhi – itel has expanded its line‑up of Indian feature phones with the itel Care, a budget‑friendly device priced at ₹1,499 that is purpose‑built for seniors who prefer a simple, dependable mobile experience.
The phone features a 2‑inch enlarged screen and big, tactile buttons, while its UI employs supersized icons for effortless browsing. These design choices make everyday actions—dialing, reading texts, scrolling through menus—easier to perform.
Built‑In Emergency SOS Button
A vivid red SOS button sits on the back of the device; holding it for roughly two seconds triggers an instant alert. The handset then sends a pre‑written message to up to five contacts selected by the user and proceeds to call each number in turn, linking seniors with family or caregivers during critical moments.
Voice Assistant Supporting Hindi and English
itel equips the phone with King Voice, an on‑board voice assistant that vocalises menu items, incoming calls and text notifications. Users can toggle between Hindi and English, allowing hands‑free operation without straining to read tiny text.
Loudspeaker and AI‑Driven Noise Cancellation
Audio clarity is enhanced by a 2030‑size box speaker paired with a dedicated power amplifier. The device also integrates AI ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) technology, which mutes background chatter to keep conversations crystal‑clear even in noisy environments.
Power is supplied by a 1,150 mAh battery, and charging is managed through a modern USB‑Type‑C port. Additional hardware includes a modest VGA camera and a dual‑LED flash for basic snapshots and illumination.
Traditional Feature‑Phone Utilities
Beyond the senior‑centric enhancements, the itel Care retains classic features: an FM radio with recording capability, Bluetooth connectivity, and a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. It operates on a single 2G SIM and offers expandable storage via a microSD slot supporting cards up to 32 GB.
With its combination of large, easy‑to‑press controls, spoken guidance, rapid emergency outreach and amplified audio, the itel Care positions itself as a straightforward, trustworthy companion for users who value simplicity without giving up essential connectivity.
