The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), headquartered in New Delhi, has launched a fresh recruitment drive for fourteen non‑teaching posts. Technical Assistant – 8 posts
The qualification requirement mirrors the other vacancies: a BE/B‑Tech, M.Sc. or MCA in Computer Science/IT with a minimum of 55 % marks. The maximum permissible age is 37 years and the salary is governed by Pay Level‑8.
Age relaxation will be provided as per Central Government norms for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwD, ex‑servicemen and government employees.
Application procedure and fee details
The online portal will be live from 3 October 2026 until 23:59:59 on 2 November 2026. Application fees are Rs 1,000 for General, OBC‑NCL and EWS candidates, and Rs 500 for SC, ST, PwD, ex‑servicemen and female applicants. Payments can be made via debit/credit cards, net‑banking or mobile‑wallet services.
Selection process
Depending on the post, the university may assess applicants through a mix of qualification screening, experience verification, written or computer‑based examinations, skill‑test modules and personal interviews. Mandatory hard‑copy submission
