Gold Futures Dip on MCX

On Monday, 5 October, the MCX October‑delivery gold contract fell to about ₹1,49,347 per 10 g, a drop of roughly ₹1,043 during the session. The decline came even as global gold prices showed a modest rise, highlighting the split between Indian futures and the world market.

Silver Gains Almost ₹700

Silver moved the opposite way, climbing ₹697 to close near ₹2,26,393 per kilogram on the exchange. Its rally outpaced the local gold movement and mirrored a larger percentage jump overseas.

Why Your Final Invoice May Vary

Precious‑metal rates can shift several times within a trading day. Moreover, the price you pay for jewellery usually exceeds the spot bullion rate because of making charges, taxes and design work. Always check the latest local rates and applicable fees before finalising a purchase.
